Hippies in the Sixties
With the new museum in upstate New York dedicated to the original Woodstock music festival and the the movie now in
production focusing on that same celebration, a lot of attention is gravitating toward hippies in the sixties, 1960's hippies
fashion, the hippy look, and just about everything related to the 60s hippies. We've assembled several posters and art
prints related to this heightened interest in the so-called "Woodstock Generation" and the cultural phenomenon
surrounding hippies in the 60's. A major theme of the 60's hippies was the anti-war movement and the promotion of
peace. Perhaps there will be a resurgence in the values of peace and love as the media and society revisits the quirky and
unique sub-culture of the hippies in the sixties. In the mean time, we dedicate this page to the 60's hippies,  the hippy
look, and 1960's hippies fashion,  which, to some may seem like "ancient history", while to many baby boomers, the
hippies Woodstock experience, and the years preceding and following it, may be perceived as a foggy, but fond memory.
